SQUASH: IRELAND'S WOMEN'S team finished fourth at the European Championships in Amsterdam on Saturday, losing 2-1 to France in the bronze medal play-off, while the men's team beat Finland to take ninth place in the tournament, writes Mary Hannigan.
Laura Mylotte won the opening match of the tie in four games to put Ireland 1-0 up against the French but Madeleine Perry lost 2-3 to Isabelle Stoer, having fought back from two games down.
Camille Sertue then sealed victory for France by beating Aisling Blake in straight games.
