Drogheda United v Bohemians: Things may have gone somewhat pear-shaped for Bohemians in the league recently but two wins in eight outings still gives them an edge over tonight's cup opponents, Drogheda, who have managed just one in 10.
Both clubs will be desperate to extend their run in the competition given that qualifying for Europe through the league now looks a remote prospect, but neither can go into this evening's clash at United Park with any great confidence and this could be a distinctly edgy affair.
Gareth Farrelly jokes that he has the "full 12 to choose from" now that Kevin Hunt and Dessie Byrne have returned from suspension. The Bohemians manager also has Aidan O'Keeffe available.
For all their problems, Bohemians have failed to score only once since April but, like United, they don't run the tightest ship at the back and so goals seem likely.
The home side's hopes of keeping a rare clean sheet will not be helped by the fact that Jason Gavin, along with Keith Fahey, is cup-tied while Gavin Whelan is suspended.
"We set out to finish higher in the league than we did last year and there's enough games left for us to still do that," says United manager Paul Doolin. "But in terms of us actually winning something it's down to the cup now and so the lads will all be desperate to win this one."
With Cork and Derry both still in the competition, United remain outsiders to lift their first major trophy but a win tonight would put them within 90 minutes of the cup final.
