Nigel Howley holed out his tee shot at the par three 180 yards eight hole on his way to a two-shot win in the Lombard and Ulster sponsored Gort Scratch Cup at Gort on Sunday.
The leader from the Ballinasloe club shot a one under par 70 in the moring and added a 76 in the rising afternoon wind to win by two shots from Seamus McEnery (Ennis) and Mark King from Galway Bay who returned 151 for the 36 holes event.
