Munster SF (Colleges) quarter-final/Coláiste Chriost Rí 2-09 Limerick 2-06: Goals in each half from Fiachra Lynch and Paul Kerrigan helped the holders Coláiste Chriost Rí to reach the semi-finals of the Munster Colleges senior football championship, at Ballylanders yesterday.

Limerick, a combination of five colleges, took a surprise lead in the 15th minute when Niall Mulvihill scored a goal. But just before the break Lynch scored a goal at the other end to level at 1-5 each.

The more experienced Cork side pulled away on the change of ends and a 38th-minute goal from Kerrigan and points from Roy O'Leary and Eoin Hegarty had them well in command, before David Dalton slotted home a late penalty to leave just one goal between them.
