FORMER TIPPERARY senior manager Ken Hogan has been handed a two-year term in charge of the under-21 hurlers.

Hogan, who takes over from Declan Carr, will be assisted by Tommy Dunne, TJ Connolly and William Maher. He succeeded Michael Doyle as senior manager in 2003 and held the position for two years.

CLONTIBRET’S PROSPECTS in the Ulster club football championship could have suffered a severe set back with news that ace forward Conor McManus suffered a hand/wrist injury in yesterday’s Monaghan SFL semi-final against Ballybay at O’Neill Park. McManus was brought immediately to hospital for X-rays to assess the injury.
