GLENN HODDLE has signed a £250,000-a-year contract to manage England according to a report in today's Daily Express. Reports also say that Ruud Gullit will be his assistant.
However, the English FA have denied reports of an imminent appointment. Spokesman Steve Double said last night: "It's pure speculation and we've become well accustomed to that in recent weeks. There is certainly no press conference planned for tomorrow.
Hoddle is already considering a massive offer from Chelsea chairman Ken Bates - in the region of £300,000 a year - to continue as boss at Stamford Bridge.
