EAVAN HIGGINS may have formally retired from international fare, but the plus one handicapper from Douglas showed she still retains the winning touch when claiming the Youghal Senior Women's Scratch Trophy on Saturday.
The Youghal Trophy is a unique event in that it retains the shotgun start which commenced in 1992 by accident when fog delayed play.
Anyway, Higgins fired 147 for the 36 holes event, claiming a two shots winning margin over Irish champion Barbara Hackett of Castletroy.
