MEN'S HOCKEY: BANBRIDGE AND Annadale advanced to the quarter-finals of the Irish Senior Cup on Saturday after coming through their all-Ulster second-round ties, both decided by golden goal extra-time winners.

Ian Hamilton completed a hat-trick for Annadale against Mossley, while Ross McCandless put Banbridge through against Instonians.

Saturday's victors were paired in the draw for the last eight, Banbridge with home advantage, while Glenanne host Corinthian. The winners of next weekend's game between Three Rock Rovers and Cookstown will be at home to Lisnagarvey, with Raphoe hosting the winners of Monkstown and Kilkeel. Corinthian, moved four points clear of Pembroke Wanderers in the Leinster first division with a 4-1 win over UCD on Saturday, South African Darren Kimfley scoring a hat-trick. Pembroke, though, have two games in hand on the leaders, while Glenanne, back in fourth place, have four.

Meanwhile, Pembroke Wanderers tooks the men's National Indoor Trophy yesterday, beating defending champions Three Rock Rovers 5-2 in the final.
