Good counsel (New Ross) achieved a 16-point turnaround over Kilkenny CBS and put themselves in line for a place in the final of the Leinster Colleges Senior Hurling League at Palmerstown yesterday.

If Good Counsel can beat Roscrea in a re-arranged match on Monday, they will play St Kieran's College in the decider on the following Thursday.

CBS made good gains when wind assisted during the opening half, goals from Paul O'Flynn, Eddie O'Donoghue and David McCormack helping them to an interval lead of 3-5 to 0-7.

After the break, Good Counsel were in terrific scoring form. With points from Richie Flynn, Niall Collins and Gary O'Grady, they drew level at 3-5 to 0-14 by the 45th minute. They continued to dominate and a late goal from Willie O'Dywer underlined their superiority.
