TIPPERARY have recalled Raymie Ryan and Kevin Tucker for their meeting with Limerick in the fourth round of the National Hurling League at the Gaelic Grounds on Sunday. In a side reshuffled significantly from the one that lost to Galway last Sunday week, manager Len Gayaor also gives a first league start to Stephen Hogan a left half back.
With Conor Gleesonn, centre half back the last day, injured, Colm Bounar moves from wing to the number six position, while Ray Ryan and Liam McGrath constitute a new midfield pairing. Tucker takes over from McGrath at wing forward while the full forward line is unchanged.
Clare, who face a tough trip away to Galway, show four changes from the side that beat Offaly the wing forwards Fergal Tuohy, who has a broken finger, and Fergal Hegarty, who had a hernia operation yesterday morning, are unavailable. Conor Clancy, sent off when playing with his club at the weekend, is also unavailable, while Brendan McNamara alternates with David Fitzgerald in goals.
The defence is unchanged, but Jamesie O'Connor moves from midfield to shore up the weakened half-forward line, while Ollie Baker is recalled to midfield. Ronan O'Hara takes over from Clancy at full forward. Colin Lynch, who came off the bench to score three points against Offaly, lines out at centre half forward.
Galway manager Cyril Farrell has delayed naming a team until tomorrow. Cathal Moore, their highly-rated centre half back, is almost certain to miss the game through flu, while Farrell is also concerned about a number of other flu and injury victims.
Cork have made one change for their top-of-the-table Division Two clash with Dublin in Parnell Park. Both sides are on full points after three games, but Cork manager Jimmy Barry Murphy is forced to plan without his midfielder and captain Fergal McCormack who has chipped a bone in his ankle.
Brian O'Driscoll, who came in as a substitute against Waterford, starts on Sunday at right half forward. Alan Cummins, centre half forward the last day, takes over from McCormack at midfield while Ronan Dwane moves from right half forward to the forty.
Offaly, who play Kilkenny in Birr, are almost certain to be without Joe Dooley who has a thumb injury. Billy Dooley (cracked ribs) and Kevin Martin (hamstring) are also rated doubtful, but full back Kevin Kinahan is back in training after injury and may well be in contention for a place. Manager John McIntyre will select his team tomorrow.
