Irish Open champion Sergio Garcia may have played like he couldn't see very well during the British Open at Carnoustie, but this evening he really will be swinging in the dark when he tops the bill for the annual Blind Golf Challenge at the Spawell Leisure Centre in Templeogue, Dublin.

Garcia will be blindfolded when he teams up with fellow professionals Padraig Harrington and Philip Walton, former Curtis Cup player Mary

McKenna and RTE's Micheal O'Muircheartaigh and Ronan Collins in a friendly match against members of the Irish Blind Golfing Society on the par three course.

This is the fourth year of the event which is a major part of the fundraising programme for the Irish Guide Dogs Association. Previous participants include Seve Ballesteros and Bernhard Langer. Admission is £5 for the golf, entertainment, auction and raffle. The action starts at 7.30.
