ALL STAR football goalkeeper Finbarr McConnell has been suspended for four months by the Tyrone County Board after being sent off in a club game in October. McConnell will thus be out until the middle of February.

McConnell was one of 12 players banned by the board following a fracas in the Tyrone intermediate football championship final between Newstownstewart, McConnell's club, and Donaghmore.

Meanwhile, another Tyrone inter-county player, Seamus McCallan, was in trouble yesterday - he was sent off in a club game involving his club, Carrickmore and Drumquin.
