In His Own Words: "I think the midfield battle between ourselves and Galway is going to be very evenly matched. Any time we've played Galway in the league or whenever, there's only been a point or two in it. I don't think there has been any major differences in the teams we've played so far in the championship, except that the games do get more intense the further you go. After Cork and Clare it was another step up for the Armagh game, and there was really nothing more than a kick of the ball between us. The main strategy with myself and Donal Daly is that one of us stays back and one of us goes forward, but other than that we have a free hand. And I usually end up doing what Donal tells me anyway."

Opposition View - Nicholas Murphy (Cork):

"The Kerry midfield totally destroyed us in the first half of our Munster semi-final, but I would question their consistency over the full 70 minutes. Both of them are inclined to come in and out of the game a little bit and that might be a problem for them again here.

But Darragh O Se is a superb fielder of the ball and an extremely strong player. Donal Daly has a less aggressive approach but may be a little more active and is also able to make a lot of surges forward.

Overall though the two of them have been performing very well this year. They probably had something to prove from last season when they had a really bad day against us, and we certainly found it very hard to live with them for most of the 70 minutes this year. Galway are obviously very strong in the area as well but I expect Kerry to have a slight edge here, presuming, of course, that both of them keep playing for the full 70 minutes."
