GRAHAM FENTON'S first Blackburn goal ended Rovers four game winless run to warm up an arctic Ewood Park. Fenton, an interval replacement for the injured Paul Warhurst, took less than three minutes to make an impact.
Nicky Marker, in midfield for suspended skipper Tim Sherwood, found Fenton in space on the right. The former Villa man, four of whose five previous appearances had been as a substitute, had the confidence to take on Paul Beesley and, as John Lukic came out, whacked the ball across him and into the far corner.
It was enough to win against a Leeds side who perhaps deserved slightly more.
