Kieren Fallon is set for his first ride in Britain for nine months at Wolverhampton today. The three-time champion jockey missed the latter half of last season due to injuries caused when his mount Alhawa was brought down in the Ascot Stakes on the second day of the Royal meeting in June.
The Clareman has been riding at Dubai over the winter and made a winning return to action at Nad Al Sheba at the end of December. And he will make his British comeback aboard the Richard Fahey-trained Wintertide in the Henry Royce Maiden.
Fallon must pass the doctor before he can ride here again but his agent Dave Pollington said: "He's seeing Dr Turner this afternoon - I'm sure there won't be a problem.
"He has been busy riding in Dubai and America getting plenty of rides and winners so I think it's a formality. "Richard Fahey asked him to ride and I said `why not?"'
Wintertide makes his debut on the Flat at Dunstall Park having run in four bumpers to date - winning twice.
His trainer said: "This is completely different so we'll see how he gets on."
