Kevin Darley rode a Doncaster double but still had to concede defeat to Kieren Fallon in his bid to retain the British jockeys' championship title yesterday.

He scored aboard odds-on favourites Double Honour and Simeon but at the end of proceedings, Fallon's unassailable lead stood at seven (165-158) with Darley set to have only five rides at today's meeting.

Fallon will be formally presented with the prize during today's card, live on Channel 4.
