The FAI Cup final dress rehearsal proved to be a one-sided affair on Saturday night, as the Bray side, hungry for points, easily outshone their cup final opponents.

With Jonathan Speak and Tom Mohan rested and Brian McKenna still not fully recovered from a shoulder injury, the home side had a strange look to it and it didn't take long for Bray to take advantage of their lack of organisation.

However, the visitors did not make the breakthrough until the 22nd minute when Barry O'Connor was put free in the box by Stephen Fox.

O'Connor turned Jonathan Minnock and rifled the ball into the bottom corner past Damian Bradley. Two minutes later, Kieran O'Brien sent Colm Tresson clear of a static Harps' defence and he rattled a shot under the legs of the advancing Harps' goalkeeper to make it 2-0.

Harps responded with shots from Minnock and O'Brien in the 33rd and 43rd minutes, but on both occasions John Walsh was equal to the task with comfortable saves.

The start of the second half proved to be as one-sided and Damian Bradley did well to deny Dom Tierney and Barry O'Connor with a terrific double save in the 50th minute.

Two minutes later, Bradley was beaten again this time Stephen Fox driving a fierce shot into the top corner from the edge of the box to make it 3-0.

Again the only reply from the home side was a couple of long range efforts, but, as in the first half, the former Harps goalkeeper, John Walsh, was equal to anything they could throw at him.
