DESPITE HIS public apology and the provocation of the coin and missile throwing, Kerry star full forward Kieran Donaghy has been handed a one-game ban for his finger gesture to the Mayo crowd during the county's league game in Castlebar last Sunday week.
It is still not known whether Mayo will face a fine for the coin and missile throwing but the suspension will come as good news to basketball side Tralee Tigers as it frees up the dual player for their Superleague semi-finals on Saturday against Neptune at University of Limerick.
It does, however, mean the 2006 All Star will miss Kerry's National Football League game against Laois on Saturday evening in Portlaoise.
