There was an unusual prize for the winner of the free draw at Saturday's AIB League match between Shannon and Galwegians at Thomond Park. Printed in every match programme was a number and at half-time there was a draw to decide a winner. And the prize? Two return tickets to Havana, Cuba, courtesy of Aeroflot. No, second prize wasn't four.
Shannon can certainly claim to be innovative as they offered return tickets to Hahn (Frankfurt) sponsored by Ryanair for the Terenure game and also a brace of tickets to Brussels for the Clontarf match, supplied by Virgin airlines.
