Croatia's coach quits after defeat

Croatia's coach, Miroslav Blazevic, resigned last night following his side's Euro 96 quarter final defeat. Croat newspapers said he had decided to quit after a group of fans had shouted abuse at him following yesterday's 2-1 defeat by Germany. Blazevic (59), was quoted as saying that he was deeply disappointed by the result, adding: "I obviously haven't succeeded and that's why I will leave this job to somebody else."
