Cork stroll to victory

A game without any real competitive edge saw Cork claim the Munster minor title at Semple Stadium yesterday. Cork led by nine points at half-time and finished 12 points clear. But that only tells one tale in a story of complete domination. All but one of their forwards had scored by the end, with Tomas O'Leary scoring six points from play.

In the second half Cork were content just to maintain their advantage built primarily on the first-half goals of Eamonn Collins and Stephen O'Sullivan. Cork maintained their dominance until the end, with Ciaran Murphy maintaining his accuracy from frees. Just before the final whistle, Michael McKenna managed to sneak a late goal for Limerick.
