1. Donal Og Cusack
Age: 22. Height: 6'0". Club: Cloyne.
A very intelligent goalkeeper who is quick off the mark and capable of a very good puck-out. Will have a vital role in that regard here to make sure it goes into the right area. Also had a very good teacher in Ger Cunningham over the last two years.
2. Fergal Ryan
Age: 27. Height: 5'9". Club: Blackrock.
Very solid and aggressive part of the defence. His main asset is his speed on his feet and has played consistently well all year. His basic role is to stop his man from scoring but he will have a big job on Charlie Carter tomorrow.
3. Diarmuid O'Sullivan
Age: 20. Height: 6'2". Club: Cloyne.
An up and coming player of tremendous potential who will have a big role to play in this game. Plenty of pace in addition to showing great ability in the last 20 minutes of the game where he seems to grow in confidence and play an even greater role.
4. John Browne
Age: 22. Height: 6'2". Club: Blackrock.
Another solid part of this back line with great hurling ability and a good record all summer. Would be the quietest of the three Cork backs and while he may do his job without fuss he certainly does it very effectively.
5. Wayne Sherlock
Age: 20. Height: 5'10". Club: Blackrock.
He may have been unspectacular so far but he goes about his business with a quiet efficiency. He is one of the trio that has been the backbone of this Cork team throughout the championship and I expect him to play another big part tomorrow.
6. Brian Corcoran
Age: 26. Height: 6'2". Club: Erin's Own.
The experienced man who has played for a number of years at the very top but without the success. Also has the advantage of seeing it all before. He'll be hoping more than anyone that this is going to be his year and will be the inspiration of this Cork side.
7. Sean Og hAilpin
Age: 22. Height: 6'3". Club: Na Piarsaigh.
A dual player who has the difficult job of moving from hurling to football, but he has done it with such great success that nobody can argue with his ability. Will need to be on his toes and at his sharpest if he is to control D J but his main strength is in attacking the ball.
8. Mark Landers (capt)
Age: 26. Height: 6'1". Club: Killeagh.
A good strong player who may not come up with the most spectacular play but who certainly has a very impressive workrate. Better known as a defensive midfielder. There are always doubts about players coming off injuries but when you come into an All-Ireland final then these things are inclined to go by the board.
9. Michael O'Connell
Age: 22. Height: 6'0". Club: Midleton.
After coming back into the side he quickly proved that he was good enough to keep his place. Didn't impress a whole lot against Clare but overall has been very effective, especially in contributing to Cork's scores from the centrefield.
10. Timmy McCarthy
Age: 22. Height: 6'0". Club: Castlelyons.
Definitely a ball winner. Has a slight tendency to over-run but I'm sure the Cork selectors will have warned him about that. Can be one of the big playmakers who also has great ability to score.
11. Fergal McCormack
Age: 24. Height: 6'1". Club: Mallow.
He will have a dual role, both as a forward and to keep an eye on Pat O'Neill. He's big and strong and can even look a little unorthodox at times but he's certainly a very effective part of this Cork attack and the man who will create all the space.
12. Seanie McGrath
Age: 23. Height: 5'8". Club: Glen Rovers.
A law unto himself. He is small but has tremendous skill and most of all has great intelligence which allows him to read the game so well. He will always move into the right position with speed and turn a good pass into a great score.
13. Ben O'Connor
Age: 20. Height: 5'10". Club: Newstownshandrum.
Can be a very skilful hurler depending on what type of ball comes in. His first touch is excellent but he will have a big undertaking on hand if he is to beat Willie O'Connor, although he will have a pace advantage on him.
14. Neil Ronan
Age: 19. Height: 5'10". Club: Ballyhea.
A player who will drift around the forward line. Has already shown his worth at under-21 and minor levels and another young player with great skill. Will be sure to pick off a few points and a wonderful prospect for the future.
15. Joe Deane
Age: 22. Height: 5'7". Club: Killeagh.
One of the players Kilkenny will have to mark very tightly. He has the ability to win a game on his own and is equally effective with frees. An excellent ball reader - and will be looking for a lot of it to come into him.
