Galway's lengthening injury-list represents burgeoning chances of a provincial title for Roscommon or Sligo. The list won't extend to Leitrim, who are in one of their less successful cycles.
Roscommon's creditable National League run ended up with team plans unravelling a little in the face of Derry's semi-final onslaught. The tweaked selection which ran riot in London has been improved on for tomorrow's match with the return from injury of Derek Duggan, one of the Roscommon players to hold his own against Derry, and Fergal O'Donnell, whose combative presence is important to the team around the middle. On the debit side Enon Gavin misses out with a cruciate problem.
Leitrim will make the best of what they have, although that isn't hectic and if they can win as much possession as they managed last year the match will be no walkover. But their limitations using the ball and the presence of five debutants makes a surprise unlikely.
