Colaiste Eoin from Stil lorgan finished their unprecedented year in schools' football by comprehensively beating traditional power Gormanston College in the Dublin schools' final at Parnell Park yesterday.
While Gormanston made a good start and led 0-4 to 0-2 by the eighth minute, Colaiste Eoin unleashed a nine-point barrage that put Gormanston in a spin. Any thoughts of a revival were almost immediately quashed three minutes into the second half when right-corner forward Eoin O Conchubhair blasted to the roof of the Gormanstown net. Colaiste Eoin followed up with four further points within a matter of minutes.
