Clonmel to hold inspection

THE RECENT bad weather continues to impact on this week’s racing calendar with Clonmel holding an 8.30am inspection this morning about their scheduled fixture this evening, writes Brian O’Connor. The track was raceable yesterday but the threat of overnight rain has provoked an inspection.

Another 8.30am inspection will take place this morning with Tipperary looking at their prospects ahead of tomorrow evening’s meeting. The track was heavy but raceable according to the Turf Club yesterday.

Already in the last six days meetings at Kilbeggan (Saturday), Roscommon (Monday) and last night’s fixture at Sligo have had to be cancelled. If racing gets the green light this evening it could be a good date for Definitive Edge who returns from a long lay-off in the bumper.
