The Carlow County Board, at a special meeting on Saturday night, unanimously agreed to the appointment of former Tipperary senior football manager Paddy Morrissey as their new team manager.
Meanwhile, the National League game involving Carlow and Mayo, which became victim of the controversial players strike in Carlow, has been re-fixed by the management committee of the GAA. Carlow county board officials, having resolved the dispute which led to the disbanding of the county's supporters' club and also included the resignation of team manager Bobby Miller, have been informed that the game has been re-fixed for Castlebar on Sunday, February 8th.
