TIPPERARY SHC SEMI-FINALS: Drom-Inch 0-19 Toomevara 1-12:COUNTY STAR Séamus Callanan was an inspiring figure as Drom-Inch shocked title-holders Toomevara in a Tipperary senior hurling semi-final thriller at Thurles yesterday.
Toomevara were chasing a third title in a row but Callanan scored 12 points (four from play) in a man-of-the-match performance that set his side on the road to victory.
Drom-Inch were the dominant side in the first half but a John O’Brien goal for Toome in the 19th minute of the game kept them in touch as Drom led 0-10 to 1-5 at the break.
Toome fought hard to catch them in the second period but with Callanan deadly accurate from frees and play, the outsiders held on for a famous victory.
