CHRISTY RING CUP SEMI-FINAL Carlow 1-15 Kerry 2-12: IT WOULD have been an injustice had either of these sides exited the Christy Ring Cup after a thrilling semi-final at Dr Cullen Park.
Carlow held a three-point lead in injury-time of normal time. Shane Brick’s strike from a 30-metre free was blocked, but the sliotar was crashed to the net by John Mike Dooley – ensuring extra-time. Both sides could only muster two points apiece in extra-time.
