GAA:LEAGUE WINNERS Dublin welcome back Tomás Brady for tomorrow's Leinster hurling semi-final against Galway in Tullamore.

As expected, the Na Fianna man is fit to take his place at full back although, equally as anticipated first-choice centre back Joey Boland still hasn’t recovered from the shoulder injury sustained in the league final win over Kilkenny.

Peter Kelly, who replaced Brady against Offaly, moves to centre back and John McCaffrey switches to wing back with Maurice O’Brien dropping to the bench.

Peadar Carton, whose calmly taken goal settled the quarter-final starts instead of Daire Plunkett.

Boland has been training, but the shoulder, which he dislocated last month, is not yet deemed ready for the level of physical contact likely in championship.

Brady, however, has been running freely after his knee injury and is said to have put in three hard sessions over the past week and so will be fit to face Joe Canning, who has recovered from a hamstring injury.

All-Ireland champions Tipp make one change to the side that beat Cork for Sunday’s Munster semi-final against Clare. Conor O’Mahony returns after injury in place of corner back Paddy Stapleton, who is injured this time.

John O’Keeffe, who debuted against Cork at wing back, moves into the corner with Pádraic Maher, who played at centre back the last day switching to the wing.

Clare give championship debuts to Patrick O’Connor, Cathal McInerney and Conor McGrath. Full forward Darach Honan has recovered from a groin strain and centrefielder Nicky O’Connell is also fit to start.

Galway show four changes for the Dublin match after the unexpectedly close shave with Westmeath in the quarter-final. As mentioned, Joe Canning starts at full forward. Shane Kavanagh, Tony Regan and Éanna Ryan are the others to come in. Johnny Coen, John Lee, Kevin Hynes and Andy Smith drop out.

Cork hurlers make two changes for their qualifier against Laois. Lorcan McLoughlin is out for four to five weeks with a broken thumb. The experienced Tom Kenny steps in at centrefield. Bill Cooper comes in at centre forward for the injured Cian McCarthy.

Meanwhile, Derry boss John Brennan makes two changes to the side that easily beat Fermanagh. Injury rules out Gerard O’Kane, whose place at wing back is taken by Seán Óg McAlary, but Barry McGoldrick is fit again and starts at wing forward with Emmett McGuckin making way.
