AT LEAST one bookie could end up forking out a substantial amount of cash for his own losing tips at next week’s Punchestown Festival if he fails to deliver at a preview of the event at the Naas Court Hotel in Naas, Co Kildare tomorrow night.

Paddy Power, Boylesports, Ladbrokes Ireland, Chronicle Bookmakers and Sportingbet will be taking part in a tipster challenge which begins at the hotel at 8pm tomorrow night.

The event is in aid of the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association, which supports care for sufferers of the disease and helps fund research into possible causes and cures.

Whichever bookie loses the competition, that is, tips the least number of winners, will have to fork out the entry fees for his competitors, bringing their donation to a total of €5,000.
