Fiddling The Facts has been installed the 3 to 1 clear favourite with bookmakers Coral for the Greenalls Grand National Trial at Haydock Park. Nicky Henderson's mare - available at 6 to 1 with the Tote - has been placed in three tough handicaps already this season.
Last time she went down by two lengths to Him Of Praise in the Singer and Friedlander National Trial at Uttoxeter with General Wolfe, who currently tops the handicap on Saturday with 11st 10lb, a last-fence faller. All three are set to renew rivalry in the £85,000 contest.
"Him Of Praise definitely goes unless the ground comes up good or our wheels fall off before then," said trainer Oliver Sherwood. "The softer the going the better we'll like it."
And General Wolfe's trainer Venetia Williams said: "General Wolfe is fine after his fall. I have kept him in the Racing Post Chase but I would suggest that Haydock looks like being the target."
