Victories over Austria, Norway and Switzerland helped Ireland to a 10th place finish, out of 16 nations, at the Junior European Badminton Championships in the Czech Republic.
After their three Group Two wins the Irish were beaten 4-1 by the Ukraine to leave them in tenth, place ahead of nations including France, Scotland and Austria.
Senior internationals Elaine Kiely and Keelin Fox were unbeaten in each of their four singles matches, as were Kiely and David Gannon in the mixed doubles. The individual section of the European Championships begin today.
