UNDER-21 FOOTBALL:ARMAGH WILL play Down in the Ulster under-21 football decider next Wednesday evening (April 15th) at 8pm in Belfast's Casement Park after both sides emerged from their respective semi-finals last night.
Down defeated Tyrone, 2-14 to 1-14 at Páirc Esler in Newry, while Armagh – who had a fortunate one-point victory against Cavan in the provincial quarter-final – came good in the second half to beat Donegal, 1-10 to 0-6, at MacCumhaill Park in Ballybofey yesterday evening.
A goal from corner back Mark Shields and points from Stefan Forker put Armagh five points clear after being one down at the break.
They limited the home side to just a single point in the second half.
