The failure of some Cushendall hurlers to attend training last night delayed the selection of Antrim's team to face Offaly in the National League on Sunday.
In the wake of the club's defeat by St Joseph's Doora-Barefield in last Saturday's All-Ireland semi-final, neither Aidan Delargy nor Mark McCambridge turned up for the session, although Conor McCambridge did attend.
According to county PRO Turlough Gibbons, Mark McCambridge sent word that he intended to move to the US this summer and would not be available for the championship, so he thought it would be unfair to be taking a place in the panel. Delargy's wherabouts were, however, a mystery.
Offaly make one change for the game. Gary Hanniffy returns at wing forward in place of Paudie Mulhare, who has a hamstring injury. Hanniffy was named in the side which was beaten by Galway last weekend, but had to withdraw because of flu.
He is the only Birr player to feature, although others are expected to be named amongst the substitutes as they were back in training during the week after the All-Ireland club defeat by Athenry a fortnight ago.
In a positional switch Johnny Dooley moves to centrefield with Michael Duignan going up to corner forward.
Meanwhile the Munster Council has launched an information technology initiative and become the first provincial council to develop a co-ordinated approach to IT. The scheme involves the presentation of a high-specification PC, printer and software package to each of the county boards and the provincial secretary.
The council has also demonstrated a club management package and website developed in conjunction with the Waterford Institute of Technology.
