The Christmas fare was no handicap to St Anne's member Martin Tyrell on St Stephen's Day. Partnering Frank Andrews in the Open Fourball, the pair returned 29 points to win by two from Gareth Furey and Danny Toland. There were more celebrations in the clubhouse when news of Martin's win also included a hole-in-one at the 17th, where the five-handicapper hit a seven-iron.
