Angel lands in Limerick

Fr Joe Young, who doubles as chairman of troubled Limerick FC and has kept the club going on a wing and a prayer, has been granted an Angel.

The Shannonsiders have signed Texan college star Regan Angel, and the 20-year-old made his debut in a scoreless draw in a challenge against Waterford at the weekend.

Now manager Dave Connell will give him his competitive debut against Galway United in their opening league game of the season at Hogan Park on Saturday.
