23rd minute

Ireland break forward at speed, handling the ball with sureness and rucking quickly. A ruck is set up on the left near the French line. The ball comes out to Malcolm O'Kelly who skips Keith Wood and passes to O'Driscoll. O'Driscoll drives forward and goes over.

57th minute

A ruck on the right 15 metres out. Stringer feeds O'Gara who runs diagonally left and pops the ball to Henderson. Henderson bursts through the gain line, again moving left and is tackled by the French cover, but skilfully offloads to O'Driscoll who goes over unopposed.

74th minute

Following a break by Denis Hickie, supported by Paddy Johns, Stringer is tackled in moving the ball out from the ruck. The ball goes to ground, O'Driscoll pounces to pick one-handed and races through the gap and around Ntamack.
