Ciaran McMonagle (Dunfanaghy), the reigning Irish Amateur Close champion, will be joined by the holder of the Amateur Open title, Gary Cullen (Beaverstown), Andrew McCormack (Scrabo) and Noel Fox (Portmarnock) on the Irish four-man team to South Africa at the East London GC on March 1st-2nd. All four were members of the Irish team in the Home Internationals and European team championships last year. The Irish team will remain in South Africa after the match to compete in the South African Amateur championship, which begins on March 6th at the same venue.
