Dolphin v Blackrock

Musgrave Park

There will be no Brendan Macken or Andrew Conway for Blackrock while the home side will have to do without James Coughlan and possibly Nick Williams. The absence of the latter pair means that the visitors should get some ball and as Shannon found they have to have backs to reap the dividends. Dolphin’s need is greater but Blackrock might just reverse the defeat they suffered when these sides met at Stradbrook.

Verdict: Blackrock.

Garryowen v UL Bohemian,

Dooradoyle

Barry Murphy returns after a long-term ankle injury and his presence will be a confidence boost for the beleaguered students who are bottom of the table. Garryowen have managed an appreciable turnaround in form and won’t have given up hopes of making the play-offs.

Verdict: Garryowen.

Shannon v Clontarf

Coonagh

The defending champions, Shannon, are well placed given their remaining matches to earn a place in the play-offs and should be able to take a major step forward against out-of-sorts Clontarf who have plummeted down the table.

Verdict: Shannon

St Mary’s College v Constitution

Templeville Road

This top-of-the-table clash sees the leaders travel to Dublin but whether they will have Billy Holland, Tom Gleeson and Nick Williams will have been dependent on Munster’s game last night. St Mary’s have no such worries and given recent form and home advantage might sneak a win.

Verdict: St Mary’s
