What with the US PGA on this weekend, some of you may have polished up the clubs with dreams of turning that bit of usefulness around their local course into a world beating talent.
Well, if you are over 25, forget it. Take Spanish wonder boy Sergio Garcia (above). He made his first cut in a full European Tour event at 14. He went
on to earn his first victory on the tour three years later when, still an amateur, at the age of 17 he won the Catalonian Open. He began his golf career at three, and was champion of his home club, Club de Golf de Mediteraneo, by 12. By 13 he was playing off scratch. Just putting it in perspective.
