Shannon enhanced their prospects of becoming the first team to complete the All-Ireland League-Munster Senior Cup double when they outplayed Old Crescent by 4424 in a cup quarter final at Rossbrien last evening. Shannon led 19-12 at half-time and their much changed side was never in any danger.
Man of the match was New Zealander Rhys Ellison who contributed 20 of his side's points. Old Crescent had prop Dermot Davis sent off for a second yellow card offence after 70 minutes.
