Sir, - I am a sixth-year student, and my Irish orals are upon me. I am writing to ask why all Irish classes are not held in the proper vernacular. I have been preparing for the orals for six weeks and have never known so much Irish since I started school.
It is obvious to me that a language is easier learned through the spoken word than through the written. So why is this not the case, or have I missed something? - Yours, etc,
Wicklow.
