Madam, – As a frequent user of the playground in the Phoenix Park I want to complain about it being closed to the public when the Bloom festival is running.
There is little enough to do with kids that does not involve spending lots of money. On the bank holiday weekend this public amenity was only available to those who had paid into Bloom. A commercial venture like this should provide its own entertainment for the kids whose parents can afford to pay in and leave the free entertainment for all kids. The Phoenix Park is big enough to hold the festival without inconveniencing the rest of us. – Yours, etc,
