Sir, - I was extremely surprised to notice that in Kevin Barry's article The Artists' County of (August 6th) his list of recommended bookshops failed to mention what has to be the gem of West Cork bookshops. Fuchsia Books in Schull is a magical place. The stock is superb and I've never been there without spotting a happily browsing celebrity. I can only imagine that Mr Barry passed by the shop in his haste to reach the beach and for that I extend to him my greatest sympathy. - Yours, etc., David Carty,
