Sir, – In his letter (September 28th), Israeli ambassador Boaz Modai surmises that the almost unanimous response to the Palestinian application to the UN for statehood, and the numerous UN resolutions condemning Israel’s actions in Palestine, might be motivated by “Arab oil money”, the “influence of the Arab-Islamic lobby” and “fear of the long arm of Islamic terrorism”.
I suggest the ambassador might also consider the more obvious possibility that what Israel is doing to Palestine may actually be wrong. – Yours, etc,
