Madam, - Oliver Wendell Holmes cautioned against taking aim at a prince as the price of failure was often terrible. Not so with the Ulster Unionists. Eleven times in five years David Trimble's critics have taken aim and missed without any consequences or repercussions whatsoever. Until Mr Trimble deals with those in his party who oppose him, particularly Jeffrey Donaldson and David Burnside, he will continue to face votes of confidence every six months until he loses one. - Yours, etc.,
