Sir, – The closure of the James Joyce Tower at Sandycove in Dublin (Home News, June 30th) puts it on a par with Yeats’s Thoor Ballylee near Gort, Co Galway, which has remained closed to visitors since floods damaged it in 2009.
We are told that Ireland is “open for business”; who then dares to think that these significant sites have no business to be open? – Yours, etc,
