Madam, – The ESB recently unveiled the first charging points for e-cars on the streets of Dublin and proudly described plans to roll out the initiative. It stated that on-street charging will be free until the end of 2010.
On Friday, I passed one such charging point on Adelaide Road and noticed that “pay and display” parking applies from 7am to 7pm, Monday to Saturday throughout this street, including the parking bay next to the e-car charging point. Are drivers really that “green”?
