Sir, - The letters in The Irish Times (July 20th), overlook that the evidence against evolution from all major disciplines given in my article was recent and almost exclusively drawn from leading evolutionary scientists. It was not of my making. So why so much hostility?
The fact that no proof of evolution exists, obviously makes things difficult. I was, however, disappointed at the polemic rather than academic approach. I am sure that other of your readers must be embarrassed by the emotive responses contained in three of the four published letters. - Yours, etc.,
