The state of Dublin airport

Madam, - Sadly I must endorse the opinion of recent correspondents on Dublin airport, and add my own complaint.

Some time ago I lost my reading glasses at the airport. Back there a couple of weeks later, I decided to go to Lost Property office in the rather forlorn hope of retrieving them. From the information desk I was directed to a telephone and told to contact the airline on which I had travelled. Thence I was sent to the floor above, where nobody knew the location of Lost Property but suggested I went to Left Luggage. Wrong again, but they told me to go to Airport Police.

At last I found the right place, only to see a sign "Closed till further notice". Ah well, I hadn't had much hope anyway, but I do wonder what is happening to lost property in the meantime. Is it thrown away, or does it pile up ever increasingly while passengers suffer frustration? - Yours, etc,
